32-bit version may run on both 32-bit systems and 64-bit systems, 64-bit version may run only on 64-bit systems. There is also a bigger memory limit for the process for 64-bit version. There is no difference in features.
Portable version does not need any installation, the settings are not saved to user profile but to the root folder of the application and there is no integration to operating system in form of registered extensions for project files.
