How move sidebar to left?

How do I move the sidebar to the left hand side of the application?

The left side of the application is the conventional location for navigation and property panes and has been for decades. If the default is for it to be on the right there should at least be an option to move it to the left.

Click and hold the title of the pane in the sidebar and drag it to the left.

When the sidebar on the right side stays empty, just double click on it and it will be hidden. Now panes will be open only on the left side.
