Diagram Frames

Hi Dusan,

I'm trying to get SysML compliant diagram frames. When I type the diagram name, it seems to go where diagram type should be. Also the model element name and the type do not show up in the correct place. Here's a picture of what I expect to get vs what I'm getting. I hope it helps:

Hi Ali,

You can do it this way:

1. Right-click on an existing element (e.g. a block) you want create a diagram for.

2. Choose Add Nested Diagram from the displayed context menu.

3. In the Diagram Properties dialog (for the new nested diagram) check 'Show frame', confirm it with OK - you will get the desired result.

Sweet. I would have never figured that out on my own. Any plans to make the regular frames have the same attributes?

The only issue is that nested diagrams do not show up in the overview so there is no way to find them unless you know the diagram name and use the search feature.

Good point! The nested diagrams will be added to the overview in the next release.

The nested diagram are shown in the Folder Overview from version 11.89.

Thanks Dusan. Are there any plans to allow regular SysML frames added from the left ribbon to have the proper linkage and standard information format? The nested diagram approach works well but is not very intuitive for most users.

Additionally, it is not possible to resize the diagram's native frame like regular frames.
