Duplicate a Diagram (#1520)

If I duplicate a diagram into the same model, all objects are copied, even if they are only referenced from another diagram into the same model. I'm unsure if that is the expected behavior.

Yes, it is expected so - the context menu item is named Duplicate (Independent Model). If you want to create a copy with preserved links to original element models, you can use the button "Duplicate Diagram..." from Diagram ribbon tab. After clicking the button a dialog will show where you can choose whether you want create Independent Copy or Shared Model copy.
