more universality and less restrictions (#313)
Your vision of diagram design is pretty restricted, you have very much types of diagram and restrictions (do i use this word right? maybe limitation?) for each of them. Your next step should be finding so common stuff between elements you can. Do you at least have class hierarchical model of all SIM elements to see and understand inheritance and relations of them. Sometimes you need to reconnect visual look and behavior from inner diagram properties, then generalization conector can connect all the element i (and some other users) want.
I think concept (notion) of TYPES of diagram should be simplified and in some way blurred. I want to create my own types, although likely should exist type that do not contain notion "types".
I really try very hard to find necessary words to explain my ideas to you. Because of my bad english it can sound a little abstract. MAybe this another example will help ideas of universality and less restrictions (less dosen't mean nothing). Mixed type of diagram (it's probably right to call it "mixed UML diagram") contains too much duplicate of elements. Because of it toolbox turns to long and very overloaded by such duplicates (!!!!!!!). WTF? It's not convinient at all. If you delete duplicates and unite elements in groups like blocks and connectors it will be more understandable, more convinient and more easy.

Actually if that work very good u can delete some other (not all of course) uml types. U can unite most intersecting uml (or other) diagram to one. For most different ones will be exists it's own type - like now.

Also you must hire very good designer. SIM looks very cheap and dated. SIM have very big potential and should look respectively. Fonts, colors and almost all the visual stuff needed in stylish form.
Toolbar scrollbar should be visible all the time. When it hide every time it looks slovenly.

I hope that's all for now. Good luck.

I will analyze these changes.
What you exactly mean by 'Fonts, colors and almost all the visual stuff needed in stylish form.' ? Maybe some example, some application you compare with.
Yes, I agree it will be better, when I hire very good designer and very good developer and a whole department of testers, but the budget is limited and I don't think they would be willing to work for free or such low 'symbolic' salary :)

I just mean good stylish design, nothing else. And designer will be enough. With everything else you cope pretty good. Also style is created one times and can be used for all the places in the SIM.
Just compare how to look modern apps and yours. Browsers for example, photoshop, some products of Microsoft. Now in thend is minimalism, not your ugly gradient and curve fonts. (sorry).
I still don't undrestand why are you greedy with register for all user, even not commersial. I can post my message ANYWAY. It's just not convinient.

Just remember, in Axure there's feature to modify one elements to other. I know it's completely different but the idea make sence.

Just remind that i do not suggest to delete type rules, i suggest to make some 'place' or setting that allow to avoid them. U may and should understand some my point in some abstract way.
