How to "lasso" objects inside a container?

Hello,

If I click on the diagram's background and drag the mouse, I get a rectangle which lets me select multiple objects.

However, if I do that inside a container (like a Swimlane), I will move the container instead.

How can I get the selection rectangle inside a container?

It's possible when you hold ALT key pressed while selecting.
