VB6 parsing

General

I read that this Tool can parse VB6 into certain diagrams. Having activated the trial period, all I am seeing is VB.net (which is not parsing VB6). It is, however, recognizing Python, funnily enough.

Did VB6 get thrown out and Im out of luck?

Hello,

The tool currently supports only generating VB6 code; it does not yet support parsing VB6. However, we can consider adding this feature in one of our upcoming releases.

Thanks for the quick answer Dusan,

I suppose its worth the tally on the VB6import scoreboard...

Ill think about this a bit more and give a heads-up on how we solved this.

At the end of the day, we decided to write the tool ourselves.

The .frm Files are where the form meta-data and code are stored and its basically in plain-text.

With C# Regex, its relatively simple to pick up on structures and keywords.

The plan is to export into an .xml tree like structure and then translate into plantUML.
